WCPC offers round the clock,
crisis evaluation and intervention by mental health clinicians,
registered nurses and County Designated Mental Health
Professionals (CDMHP’s).
WCPC Crisis
Services are part of the Integrated Crisis
Response System. Our Crisis Services team
is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
and serves adults, and children who are in
crisis. WCPC County Designated Mental
Health Professionals (CDMHPs) can detain
consumers under the Washington State Involuntary
Treatment Act.

The Integrated
Crisis Response System offers:

Crisis
Stabilization Counseling
– individual and
family oriented crisis resolution at the Clinic or in the
community.
Involuntary Detention Investigation
– evaluation
of individuals in danger of harming themselves or others for
time-limited, hospitalization, enforced within legal
guidelines.
Walk-in Emergency and Next Day Appointments
– immediate crises intervention followed by next day
counseling.
Jail
Services –
on-site mental health services at the Whatcom County Jail linked
to post release, outpatient care.
Emergency Medical Services
– prescription and
monitoring of psychotropic medication.
