Medical Services

Our psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and registered nurses provide psychiatric assessment, medication and coordination of care with primary care physicians.  Services include:

Psychiatric Evaluation -- a clinical assessment to determine a person's mental status and identify medication requirements.

Consultation with Primary Care Physicians - evaluation and consultation to support your physician in prescribing mediations.

Patient Education - educational opportunities to inform you about your illness and treatment.  We also provide specific training for self-medication when necessary.

Medication Management – prescription of medication and management of side effects for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.

Jail Services – on-site mental health services at the Whatcom County Jail linked to post release, outpatient care. 

Emergency Medical Services – prescription and monitoring of psychotropic medication.
